EasySix Vaccine
Description
EasySix vaccine is a 6 in 1 combination vaccine containing Diptheria Toxoid, Inactivated Whole cell Pertussis, r Hepatitis B surface antigen and H. influenzae type b conjugated to Tetanus protein and inactivated Salk Polio Virus types 1,2 and 3.
It is indicated for use in infants from 6 weeks of age and it prevents against Diptheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (whooping cough), Hepatitis B, invasive infection caused by Haemophilus influenza type b and Polio diseases in one shot.
Immunization Guideline
DTP-Hep B-Hib-polio vaccine can be given in a 3 dose schedule at 6, 10 and 14 weeks for primary immunization after the monovalent Hep B birth dose. Hexavalent vaccines are not recommended for DTP Booster doses.

Contraindications
EasySix should not be administered to children having central nervous system disorders, hypersensitivity to any component of the vaccine, or having shown signs of hypersensitivity after previous administration of whole cell Perussis containing vaccine. It is contra-indicated if the child has experienced an encephalopathy, occurring within 7 days following previous vaccination with pertussis containing vaccine. In these circumstances the vaccination course should be continued with DT, Hib, HB and Polio vaccines.c
