IPV Booster dose

According to WHO, one dose of IPV is essential now along with OPV primary dose schedule. You may or may not give IPV booster at 12-18 months. Additional OPV doses till 5 years on all pulse polio days.

Yes, they can be given together. In a routinely recommended Two dose schedule, first dose should be given at 9 months along with measles vaccine and second dose should be given at 16 to 18 months along with DTP booster.

Painless Vaccines. Why?

Painless vaccines should not be opted over regular DTwP vaccine if the child has no history of severe allergic reactions like persistent crying for hours and very high fever.
